TENS and EMS therapy can provide drug free pain relief as well as conditioning and toning muscles. TENS or Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation uses electrical impulses to both block pain pathways and stimulate the body’s own natural endorphins which can be an effective method of pain relief without the need for strong medication. Electrical Muscle Stimulation or EMS stimulates muscular nerves helping to tone and strengthen muscles, where there is poor muscle function.
